Jupiter stuns in this new set of images from NASA

 

NASA has released a set of stunning images from Juno’s latest flyby of Jupiter.

This is the fifth flyby and the spacecraft’s fourth science orbit. Juno was around 4,400 kilometers above the planet's cloud tops, travelling at a speed of about 57.8 kilometers per second relative to the gas-giant planet, according to NASA.

NASA has also been inviting citizens to process these images since the first flyby and they have obliged. Citizen scientists have been uploading some spectacular photos ever since the raw photos were released.

Juno was launched on August 5, 2011, from Cape Canaveral, Florida. It arrived in orbit around Jupiter on July 4, 2016. The spacecraft’s next flyby will be on May 19, 2017
